dasg Completes JPEO-CBRND CK Manufacturing Project
dasg, in collaboration with partner company Custom Gas Solutions, is proud to announce the successful completion of a key chemical defense manufacturing initiative under a contract with the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND).
This high-impact project was awarded through an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) vehicle and focused on delivering a new U.S.-based production capability for cyanogen chloride (CK) — a critical substance required for defense preparedness and protective equipment systems.
The scope of the effort included:
-
End-to-end process design and engineering
-
Establishment of a safe and scalable manufacturing facility
-
Rigorous production testing and validation
-
Delivery of operational capabilities on U.S. soil
“This marks a first-of-its-kind facility within the United States capable of safely producing CK,” said a representative from dasg. “Our work directly supports the readiness and protection of military personnel and first responders operating in high-risk environments.”
Dasg and Custom Gas Solutions helped close a significant supply chain gap for the U.S. defense industrial base by delivering both speed and safety, strengthening the nation’s capacity to respond to chemical threats with domestically sourced materials.
This project reinforces dasg’s ongoing commitment to mission-critical support for federal agencies and defense contractors operating under FAR, OTA, and rapid-acquisition contracting pathways.
